Hi, and thanks for taking the time to look at my website.

Over the last two decades I have shot many fashion campaigns and fashion editorials, travelled the world and of course I've shot lots and lots of weddings too. And especially in Sitges where I now work and live. My passion for shooting great wedding imagery comes from a desire to offer my clients something more. The same standard seen throughout other disciplines in photography should also be seen in wedding imagery. All too often wedding photographers produce badly composed and unimaginative images. And really there is no need. One only need take a bit more time and pay due attention to detail to produce beautiful pictures.

That's why I will always start the process by listening. It's so important. When we have our first meeting we will discuss the style of photography that you want. And it's my duty to understand your needs and reflect on your creative input. We can then look at timings and coverage, to absolutely ensure the right approach is met, with the correct structuring for the day. But I will always be sure to understand the style that you require first. It's imperative to get this right. After all, you have chosen the wedding theme. You've discussed and considered the possible venues. In fact, you have probably considered practically every element of your ceremony down to the finest detail. So why not do the same with the photography?

Shooting technique

My engagement with the guests varies as we progress through the day. At times it's appropriate to be almost invisible, shooting only from the sidelines and in a very candid way. Other times I'll engage with small groups of people. Asking them to pose and to work more with the camera; I'll always endeavour to work through all the guests in this fashion. And of course, not forgetting the more formal group images. This is actually one of my favourite elements of the day. It's the time when I have more control over technical aspects of the image making process and it's always fun to engage with the crowd. In fact, it's the perfect time to present myself as someone who is affable and friendly to approach. People get to know me at this stage and as a result they are much more comfortable when posing later in the day.

I will never overbook

To ensure that your requirements are met in full, I will never take on more than one wedding per week. This guarantees the correct amount of time is allocated to pre-wedding consultations, scouting shoot locations to tailor to your theme, pre-wedding shoots, the shoot day and edit and retouch days. I will also never oversell my services to you and my rates will always be clear and transparent. Weddings are difficult enough to organise as it is. I want you to know that I will always be on your side and I'm always here to listen. After all, if you're relaxed with me and confident in my ability, ultimately we will achieve better pictures.

My promise to you

I have lived and worked in Vancouver for quite sometime now. I know all the great places to shoot and I have really good relationships with the locals. While this experience is really useful when working within set areas, we should also not be afraid to push the boundaries, and shoot in other locations and discuss the different options that best suit you. I will always do my best for you and this will sometimes mean thinking outside of the box. To produce great pictures we sometimes need to do great and challenging things. This is why I offer a 30% reduction on the Engagement Shoot when you book the 10 hour wedding coverage. I think this is a great way to get to know each other more. It gives us space to be creative and you have the time and space you need to practice working with the camera - plus, it's great having additional photography for invitations and stationery and all for free.

After the ceremony, and within 20 working days, the images will be available to view. There will be no hidden costs for downloading images. Your images will be presented in an easy to use private Web Gallery and you will be given a link to download larger files for printing. We can also talk about possible retouches on your favourite images. This used to be called 'airbrushing'. Really the key here is to go for a natural look. Just a small change can really enhance those images that you love.

I really am as good as my last job. Let me show to you that I am capably of delivering the beautiful imagery that you, your friends and family deserve.

No job is too big or too small. But for now, let's take that first step, and talk.
